Chandrika Dixit aka ‘The Vadapav Girl’ of Delhi was announced as the first contestant of Bigg Boss OTT 3 on Tuesday, 18 June. The announcement was made by the official account of Jio Cinema an OTT platform on the social media platform Instagram.
JioCinema took Instagram to share the news with the fans, JioCinema wrote,
“Who’s the first contestant of Bigg Boss OTT 3? Head over to JioCinema Premium to get a sneak peek of this teekhi mirchi (hot chilli)… Bigg Boss OTT 3 streaming exclusively on JioCinema Premium starting 21 June, 9 pm.”

Who is Chandrika Dixit , why she is famous as ‘Vadapav Girl’?
Chandrika is hardworking mother and a wife who was struggling to earn her bread on the streets of Delhi. She was selling VadaPav’s on Delhi streets and along with her cart business she started posting reels of her ‘day to day struggle to make her living out of it’ on Instagram which make Chandrika an overnight sensation.
She basically belongs to Indore, Madhya Pradesh. To earn her ‘bread and butter’ she lives in Delhi and sells Vadapav her life took u turn when she got famous on Instagram.
Knowing her from Instagram Reels a large number of foot fall started reaching her Cart, which eventually made her business Boom in a blink of an eye and she become popular as ‘The Vada Pav Girl’.
But life isn’t a fairy tail, she had to face lot of problems in her business one after another, while facing the challenges she gain her popularity on social media. After being famous she got contacted from Bigg Boss OTT 3 Team to participate in the show. To participate in the show Chandrika visited Mumbai with her family.
Being the first confirm contestant of Bigg Boss OTT season 3, their are rumours of few more contestants who might be seen on the show, TV actors Harshad Chopda and Shehzada Dhami co-actors ( Ye Rishta Kya kehlata hai ) and some other social media personalities are also expected to join Bigg Boss OTT season 3.

Chandrika suddenly grabs more attention over the moment when she shared that she earned Rs. 40000 per day by selling Vadapav, a famous street food of Maharashtra. She was discussing how much problems and heated arguments she had to face while selling VadaPav, then only she reveals about her earnings, leaving everyone stunned.
after revealing her earnings she even added
“Arre yaar toh main mehnat kar rahi hoon na yaar. Main kama rahi hu. Tum bhi karo, mat mobile chalao, mat Netflix chalao, mat raho phone par, utho bahar niklo ghumo. Apne dum par karo. [I am working very hard. I am earning. You also earn. Don’t use your smartphones, don’t use Netflix. Get up and go outside and do it yourself].”
